One topic that pops up from time to time deals with food while we’re traveling to/from McCarthy (MXY), and in MXY.
- We typically eat lunch on the road to MXY, dinner in MXY, breakfast the next morning, then we’re into the backcountry.
- On the 2nd to last day of your trip, we’ll usually have breakfast in the backcountry, then fly to MXY and eat lunch and dinner in MXY/Kennicott.
- Final day, we have breakfast in MXY and lunch on the road.
- Meals in Alaska are more expensive than you might be used to. You can, if you like, pack food for the travel days.
